Obama Infomercial: American Stories, American Solutions

I thought this was a beautifully done overview of what Barack Obama stands for, who he is, and what he'll do for the country. It was a great way to connect with undecided voters, and validate supporters. Because I'm a political junkie, I forget that this may be new information to a lot of people.   

It was wonderful to watch my 84-year-old mother's face as she watched the piece. She was intent on the stories, listening closely, and truly moved by the piece.

100,000+ in Denver for Obama

Greg and I went to the HUGE rally for Barack Obama on Sunday, October 26. We were joined by over 100,000 of our closest friends and fellow Obama supporters. It was a fabulous experience that I will remember the rest of my life. Here are some clips from his speach.

Colorado: No on 48

Vote As If Your Life Depends On It

An outrageous measure to make it nearly impossible to obtain an abortion is on the Colorado ballot this November.

Amendment 48 is an extreme ballot measure that would give a fertilized egg the same rights as girls and women. By giving constitutional rights to a fertilized egg, it could not only ban all abortions, even in cases of rape or incest, but it could also ban emergency contraception, birth control pills, and IUDs. It could even eliminate medical choices like some cancer treatments, in vitro fertilization, and embryonic stem cell research.

Although it may sound like a good idea, ths is an obvious attack on Roe v. Wade. If it passes, it will surely be challenged in court and likely reach the Supreme Court, an opportunity to reverse the earlier decision.

I pledge to vote No on 48. I will urge everyone I know in Colorado to vote NO on 48.
